19 Years of Marriage

Okay...Today is 19 years of marriage for me.
I have lived longer with my hubby than with my parents.
How weird is that?

This is me and him at ages 3 and 5. We started out as neighbors.
He was the kid who ran over me with his big wheel on my circular driveway and along with his partner in crime, (my cousin Mark), broke into my house and stole my crackerjack. He denies that it ever happened...

And aside from being coerced into marrying me by my entire extended family, I think we have a pretty good life.

Love you Spoosh.

Mouse, Paper, Scissors Class

Okay. I could hyperventalate right now!  I won a class on the big giveway they did on My Craft Channel.  It's called Mouse, Paper, Scissors with Heidi Swapp and Jessica Sprague.

I just adore Heidi Swapp and have been a fan for years.  I can't wait to take this class to see what kind of projects I get to make.  Her scrapbooking style is so intriguing to me and a huge source of creative inspiration for me.  Maybe, just maybe, I'll learn some Heidi secrets so I can scrap like her!  And I definitely could use some photoshop tips from Jessica Sprague.  This is going to be awesome!

Peer Pressure

So this is my very first post.  I have no idea what I am doing but I caved into peer pressure.  Yep, after years of hearing, "Nicki, you really should start a blog..."  from many friends, here I am.  I don't know what I am doing yet or how this all works, but we'll give it a try.

This blog is about me trying to find out what I am all about.  After being an interior designer for 15 years, I decided to take a break from all things work to replenish my creative juices and get back my joy.  I have 3 kids who needed a mom instead of the dragon lady who showed up everyday.  So here's to a new perspective, trying new things, stretching beyond my comfort zone, and being creative!  Cheers.
